Journalism & Yearbook

Write Your World

Yearbook combines many elements including storytelling, writing, creative design, photography, teamwork and production. The yearbook is a student publication, and each student brings their voice and talents to the team. Students take their writing, storytelling, photography and graphic design skills to the next level through yearbook. The mission of the Aquila yearbook program is to tell the stories of our school through journalistic and artistic expression to create a book with lasting memories for the Second Baptist School community. Our vision is to grow as a staff in writing, photography and design to improve the yearbook and make a lasting impact in our community.

Yearbook students at Second Baptist School distribute yearbooks in carpool during COVID.

"Being in the classroom with the yearbook students is the best part of my day. They have all of these amazing gifts, and I love seeing them use those gifts to produce a yearbook for the community. "
